The best eBook on Content Marketing

I met Brian Clark in 2009 in Chicago at SOBCon. He was exactly the same way in person as he is online: straight forward, knowledgable, and a quick-witted sense of humor. Before that moment I was a casual reader, since then I am a loyal fan and evangelist of his work because well, it freaking works!

I could have easily titled this post I heart Brian Clark because I’m not going to share highlights from the ebook embedded below, rather I’m going to share more of his projects and tools that I highly recommend you use. Ebook: How to Use Pinterest for Business

Full disclosure, I haven’t yet activated my Pinterest account and last month there was sparks of controversy over their business model. Top 10 Social Media Power Influencers

This list was compiled by Forbes contributor Haydn Shaughnessy for a study soon to be published using social audience measurement tool PeekAnalytics. Without knowing the algorithms and data used, I agree with this list. Well, not completely. It’s very difficult to rank these individuals in order because each contributes value to the industry in different ways. But, I do agree that these 10 are true influencers.

The article linked to each person’s Twitter account, however these are the power influencers of the social media industry and as such they’re strengthening their communities by using Google+. So, I’m supporting their efforts and linking to their G+ profiles.

  1. Chris Brogan
  2. Ann Handley
  3. Guy Kawasaki
  4. Gary Vaynerchuk
  5. Scott Stratten
  6. Robert Scoble
  7. Glen Gilmore
  8. Liz Strauss
  9. Jason Falls
  10. Mari Smith

Tools that remind you of your past

Since mid-2011, I’ve been using two services called 4squareand7yearsago and PastPosts. Both services send me daily emails of where I checked-in on Foursquare the same day last year, including Twitpics I uploaded or were snapped of me and past posts on Facebook respectively. Both services were built by the same team at two different hack challenges.
